New Friend


When the door opened the lass went silent. We looked intently at the headmaster who came in with…..Johnny Parker- the most handsome and the most talented actor of movies for teenagers.
- I am presenting you a new friend. He has moved home and he will go to our school since today. I think that I don’t have to introduce him to you- said the headmaster. Of course not. Everybody knew who the new schoolboy was. He acted in “Invisible”. The film was one of the most popular and the most profitable film in the past few years. The main character in the film could disappear in every moment and move to every place in the world. What is more, he made huge sky-scrapers and cities could disappear too. Some people say that it wasn’t any special effects but Johnny’s supernatural abilities. However, during school breaks Johnny Parker stood alone.
- -Surely, he is vain- whispered the girls.
- Surely, he won’t like to play football with us- thought the boys.
In Maths we forgot about the famous actor because our teacher told to take out some sheets of paper to get ready for a test. We trembled with fear. The teacher wrote the test’s exercises on the board. Nobody knew how to solve them. We were very stressed and frightened. The Maths teacher turned round and said:
- You must write this test in 15 minutes. But his voice got stuck in his throat.
In the class room weren’t anybody. We were sitting with Johnny Parker on the beach and we were eating delicious ice-cream. For this moment Johnny Parker is our best friends.

When the door opened the class went silent. The headmaster came into the classroom and looked at the students and their teacher. They had been sitting in this claas for three days. The river, which flowed near the school overflowed, causing a flood and the students and their teacher were cut off form the rest of the world. Everyone was scared and hungry because supplies of food were almost finished. Rescuers couldn’t evacuate the school because they were in the village. The only helicopter was trying to evacuate the local hospital and it was raining all the time. When they tried to fall asleep they couldn’t because they were too frightened. Dirty and salty water was running next to the school walls and washed them. The water caused incessant vibrations to the school walls. Nobody knew what would happen the next day. They didn’t say anything to each other. On the sixth day of the flood they heard strange noises. They saw a helicopter near the windows. All the people went to the roof and waited for help. The electricity line flashed dangerously when they boarded the helicopter. When Karen and Sally were getting into the helicopter the wind blew stronger. They fell into the water. Everyone was terrified. The girls tried to swim, but the river current carried them to the nearby fields.
Two days ago they were at homes or in hospitals. They were scared, but lucky to be alive.
